Numerology Numbers & Numerological Meaning of your Name

Numerology – Numbers and Name Meaning. Numerology is the study of the symbolic meaning of numbers. The numerological number symbolism can give you insight into yourself, your life and destiny: who you are, how you come across, what you can learn or what your pitfalls are. In this article the Pythagorean system for a numerological analysis of your name (personality number and heart number). How to calculate the numbers and the numerological meaning or analysis of the numbers 1 to 9.

Numerology – Meaning of Numbers – Numerological Number Symbolism

Numerological Number Symbolism . Numerology is the study of numbers and their meaning for man and his life. This can be insight into yourself and your life course, as well as your destiny (destiny) and in a more predictive sense. The premise is that numbers in your life are not coincidental, but part of your life course and path. For example, with a numerological analysis you can find out what your strengths and weaknesses are and where your challenges lie. Numerology can tell you something about who you are, how you appear to the outside world, what you need to learn, what your pitfalls are and what you want to become, etc. Numerology has similarities with astrology.
Numerological Approach . Numerology is seen by some as psychological or philosophical and by others as numerical law (Pythagorean science), spiritual or alternative. Be that as it may, numerology is as old as humanity and, in addition to astrology, is a system for analyzing human characteristics and life courses that has been used for centuries. Just like astrology, numerology says that nothing is just a coincidence, not even that your name is what you are called.

Numerological Systems and Interpretations

Numerological Systems . There are several numerological systems, with variation in number-letter equivalents. This means that the same letter can be given a different number in a different system. To name some examples of systems:

  • Pythagoras: Classical Pythagorean Numerology uses the numbers 1 – 9
  • Classical Western Numerology uses the numbers 1 – 22 (see numerology – date of birth)
  • Classical Western Aztec Numerology uses the numbers 1 – 52
  • Planet Numerology uses the law of 10: numerological meaning of the planets
  • Hebrew Numerological system (Kabbalah) uses the numbers 1 – 8 (not 9)
  • Hebrew systems (Cavendish/Kozminsky) 8 numbers with a different letter arrangement than the above system
  • Western Numerology system (arcana/tarot) uses a 4 x 13 system
  • Decanate Numerology uses a 3 x10 system (Pythagoras and Astrology)

There are other numerological systems and systems, but the approaches mentioned above are the most commonly used. All this indicates that differences in analysis and interpretation may occur as a result of the system you use. For example, if you analyze your name in one system you may arrive at a different outcome than in the other system. Furthermore, there may also be differences in the meaning and interpretation of the numerologist who does the numerological analysis (comparable to an astrological horoscope interpretation).

Numerology – Numerological Analysis and Meaning of your Name

Numerology can involve analysis of numbers:

  • based on your name (who you are inside, your inner self and how you come across, in this article)
  • based on your date of birth (destiny and life lessons, see numerology – date of birth)
  • based on your house number (Feng Shui: influence of environment, article to follow soon)

Numerological Analysis Name Number . This article discusses the numerological analysis of your name according to the Pythagorean system. Numerology according to the Pythagorean system works with numbers from 1 to 9. To determine the numbers of your name, reduce the result to a single number, for example, the number 15 becomes 1 + 5 = 6. See further the example below.

Numerology Name Number – Pythagoras System

Pythagoras . This article initially provides the number overview of the Pythagorean numerological system. This numerology system is based on the theories of the Greek mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras. He believed that the entire universe was mathematically ordered and that since everything could be expressed in numbers, numbers were the key to the universe.
Cavendish/Hebrew . It may also be interesting to analyze your name with a different numerology approach. At the bottom of the article, another numerological system with a different number-letter division is shown (Hebrew/Cavendish), so that you can compare two analyzes. For example, when you make a numerological analysis of someone you know well, you can see which system you think is most correct.
Furthermore, it is of course up to you whether you see numerology as a serious analysis that is useful to you or just for fun or to satisfy your curiosity!

Example Numerological Analysis – Name Numbers

MARIAN – FISHERMEN

4 1 9 9 1 5 – 4 9 1 1 5 9 1
There are two ways to make the calculation: you can calculate the number how others see you, also called a personality number, and your inner number, also called a heart number.

Personality number

  • Add the digits of the first and last name. Marian provides the sum 29 and Vissers 30.
  • You now reduce each number until you arrive at one digit: 29 (2 + 9) = 11 and 30 (3 + 0) = 3.
  • Now you add 11 (first name) + 3 (last name) = 14
  • 14 is: 1 + 4 = 5. So the final number is 5. Now you can look under the description of the number 5 for the numerological analysis of your name (personality number).

Heart number (inner number)

  • Just add the vowels together. For Marian this is (A, I, A) = 11 and Vissers (I, E) = 14
  • You now reduce each number until you arrive at one digit: 11 (1 + 1) = 2 and 14 (1 + 4) = 5
  • Now you add 2 (vowels first name) + 5 (vowels last name) = 7
  • The final number is therefore 7. Look under the description of the number 7 for the numerological analysis of your name (heart number).

Variants Numerological Calculation

  • Officially you must use your full name (complete with baptismal names, middle name, etc.), but you can also use your regular nickname or your pet name. If your name is Marian, but everyone calls you Mar (including you), you can also do the analysis with your pet name. The differences between these variants may provide interesting information
  • If you have been married for more than five years, you should officially analyze your married name, but it can be interesting to also look at your birth surname and compare the two results.
  • As mentioned earlier, you can look for differences in the Pythagorean system and the Cavendish/Hebrew system (see bottom of the article). However, the different systems (different number/letter link) have no influence on the meaning, description or symbolism of the numbers; these are the same for both systems and are listed below.

Numerological Meaning – Number Symbolism of the Numbers 1 to 9

Numerological Meaning Number 1

Symbolism and Personality Number 1. The number 1 is the number of the Creator, the initiator of all things and of a strong urge for independence. The 1 is very powerful. with the sign of the sun. If you have a 1, then you are at best a very strong and courageous figure and at worst a stubborn cross-brain. But one thing is certain, you are a personality. 1s want to reach the top and stay there. They do not tolerate contradiction; their will is law. They want to test new ideas, tread untrodden paths and will not let anything or anyone stop them. They prefer to act on all their impulses and are often energetic and impatient. The 1 person has the archetypal one-track mind; they can be completely incorrigible. Unless they level their feelings of supremacy with a sense of humor and they can somewhat put their own giftedness, their own self, into perspective. Broadly speaking and expressed in extremes, 1s can either be remarkable, striking personalities or ruthless idiots.

Numerological Meaning Number 2

Symbolism and Personality Number 2. The 2 is ruled by the feminine Moon. The 2 is often portrayed as the number of division and discord. It is even said that the Pythagoreans did not consider 2 to be a number at all, but merely a clouded 1-ness. In other words: duality, duality, separation between man and God. People whose number is 2 exhibit certain feminine traits (including men). Unlike 1s, they are naturally reserved and more likely to compromise in order to keep the peace. They have a great need to love and be loved, are extremely sensitive, gentle and compliant. Although 2s seem naturally calm and affable, you still have to be careful: just like a slumbering cat, they still keep a close eye on things. They prefer to achieve their goals through strategic action rather than direct attacks. The world famous American actress Marilyn Monroe was a 2. On the positive side of the coin, the 2 can be a gentle person, both male and female. They have a calm, engaging side that is particularly attractive. 2 is the number of polarity, of opposites: no man without a woman, no plus without a minus. Which side of the 2 person emerges seems to be strongly influenced by the combination with other factors, both in terms of the overall personality and in relation to the atmosphere, outside world and circumstances.

Numerological Meaning Number 3

Symbolism and Personality Number 3. 3’s are bright, sparkling personalities. They are often creative or artistic, do not like boring situations and are always looking for an outlet to express themselves. They are attractive, full of life and at home in all markets. But usually not a master in one area, unless it comes naturally to them, which is not so unlikely with 3s. They seem to have a happy grip in everything they undertake. Both the intellect and mind of the 3 are unusually sharp. They are able to talk about many topics and they speak in a charming manner. They also know how to use their charm (charisma). People are naturally inclined to follow a 3, but the 3 itself wants to remain untethered. According to the Hebrew system, Jesus Christ was a 3. The dark side of the 3’s nature is rooted in his/her sense of independence. A 3 is proud beyond measure and hates any obligation. While a 3 relies on the admiration of others, on the one hand it is independent, but on the other hand it often lacks self-confidence (which is disguised).

Numerological Meaning Number 4

Symbolism & Personality Number 4. Ideally, the 4 is the number of the founder. The 4 feels most at home in a calm, balanced atmosphere and is above all a logical thinker. A 4 first wants to see facts before assuming something or accepting something new. Financial security is of paramount importance. The 4 is an essential number for the Kabbalist, because the 4 represents the four-letter name of God J(a)hw(e)h. The 4 represents not only this tetragrammaton, but also the four elements, the four seasons, the four cardinal points, the four angels: Michael, Gabriel, Raphael and Uriel. At its best, 4-nature is a pillar of society and is able to make a positive contribution to it. The less favorable side of the 4 is that it can be boring, self-righteous and lacking in imagination. In general, 4s won’t come up with big ideas; they are not very creative and sometimes distrust people who are. However, 4s do have an eye for design (not in execution, but in perception) and a highly developed sense of rhythm.

Numerological Meaning Number 5

Symbolism and Personality Number 5. The 5’s are excellent, if not very faithful, sleepies. They are often very attractive, energetic people; their energy is often sexual. Like the 3, they are smart and charming. They don’t like to stay in one place all the time and are inclined to give up on you, sometimes before you’ve even started. Freedom is their highest good and a sense of adventure drives them to new places. They are always open to new ideas. The key words are excitement and change, vivid imagination, talents and many interests. Whatever their profession, their interest, talent and versatility often causes them to bounce from one to the other, like a pebble across water. The 5 is fiercely independent, may resent limitations and shy away from responsibility. They share the 1’s tendency to pursue their own desires, sometimes at the expense of others. A 5 is as smart as a fox and anyone who wants to get to know them might do well to first observe them from a distance for some time.

Numerological Meaning Number 6

Symbolism and Personality Number 6. 6 is the number of homeliness, harmony and even temperament. 6s are honest, difficult to anger and often give an independent judgment in the event of a disagreement, doing justice to all parties. However, a 6 can sometimes close its eyes to mistakes and negative things due to idealism and a desire for harmony. They see responsibility as a virtue and not as a duty. A 6 – unlike the 5 – is an excellent housewife, homemaker and husband, a faithful and devoted parent and faithful friend. You can count on a 6; no is no and yes is yes. A 6 is a good friend to be with, although it can sometimes be difficult. They also sometimes have a tendency towards gossip and complacency. At their best, they have sunny natures, which is perhaps not surprising, because 6 is the number of the sun.

Numerological Meaning Number 7

Symbolism and Personality Number 7. 7 is the number of mystery and some numerologists call it the number of occultists. The 7’s are secret creatures, reserved, controlled, proud and mysterious. They try to find out what the other person’s motives are and follow a search for the truth, where they also want convincing evidence. Every now and then they need a break to get back to it for a while. The 7 often seems to be hiding something. It is striking that there appear to be many 7s among actors. For example, the American actor Marlon Brando is a 7. The 7 often indicates unhappiness, having had enough of the world and disillusionment or disappointment by people around them. As a result, they often develop a herb-don’t-touch-me attitude. In the worst case, a 7 can become bitter and can be quite dismissive and sarcastic.

Numerological Meaning Number 8

Symbolism and Personality Number 8. 8s (like the 1) have the absolute determination to succeed in life. An 8 aspires to high positions, material prosperity and leadership. She is good at organizing and is not afraid to take risks. 8s place great value on their psychological stamina and the way they can manage their emotions. As proof of their success, they like to surround themselves with status symbols and want to be admired by others. They can be very driven, but also hard, have a straightforward vision of their goals and are often somewhat dogmatic in their methods. The word commander fits the 8. The 8 often has to fight for success, it doesn’t come easy to them. But whether they win or lose, they do it in grand style. 8s work tenaciously and passionately on their position and once the desired or desired thing has been achieved, it will not be let go. The 8 can sometimes be a bit stingy and, like the 7, the 8s only occupy a modest place in the world rankings of happiness. The nature of the 8 is fundamentally materialistic.

Numerological Meaning Number 9

Symbolism & Personality Number 9. 9s couldn’t be more different. In the Tarot, 9 is the number of the hermit, the hermit: wise counselor, spiritual leader, seeker and teacher of the truth. In the most favorable sense, they are idealists and often capable of realizing ideals. With a 9, his or her world must and will improve and this makes them able to understand and possibly tolerate all kinds of human behavior. They can have great empathy. They are passionate people, strong-willed and they can be very sensitive. Since they are quite idealistic when it comes to love, their feelings are often intense. Impulsive to the extreme, they are often very romantic by nature and occasionally lose sight of reality. This is because they orient themselves towards the ideal; they can therefore cause friction and annoyance, while they do not notice this themselves. A 9 (just like the 1) is poorly able to tolerate criticism. It is not at all easy to hang out with a 9 and return his or her love if he or she loves you. Either way, 9s are remarkable people.

The Numbers 11, 22 and 33

Numbers 11, 22, 33. In some systems the numbers 11, 22 and 33 are not added and are interpreted as a whole or seen as a symbolic number in itself. These are often called master numbers. These are very exceptional people, real masters, almost geniuses. They have a remarkably flexible mind and can switch from one (abstract) subject to another. In such a way that it is difficult for them to have a normal conversation. In other Numerology systems, 11, 22 and 33 become 2, 4 and 6 respectively. The latter is the case in both the above-mentioned Pythagorean system and the Cavendish system below.

Numerology Cavendish (Hebrew) System

Cavendish/Hebrew System

This system differs from the Pythagorean system above, as the number 9 is missing in this Hebrew system. One is not entirely sure why this is so. It is suspected that this may have had to do with the fact that the ancient Hebrews regarded the 9 as a very powerful, sacred number and for this reason decided to omit it from the number symbology system.
