Remove and fade pigment spots

Laser pigment spots are the best-known and most used method to remove these unwanted skin discolourations. However, there are various natural remedies available to fade skin discolorations and pigment spots. You can easily get started with these at home and they are a lot cheaper than lasering.

Olive oil

Massage your skin daily with olive oil. The skin discolorations and pigment spots will fade over time.

Honey

Cover skin discolorations and pigment spots with honey. Put a bandage over it and let it sit overnight. The skin discolorations and pigment spots will have diminished considerably in the morning. If you really don’t feel like having honey on your skin all night, leave the honey on for at least fifteen minutes.

Tomatoes

Apply a thick layer of tomato pulp to your face and wash it off after half an hour. Do this a few times a week and you will see that the skin discolorations and pigment spots start to fade faster. You can make this mask even more effective by adding lemon juice.

Almonds

Soak four almonds in water overnight. Then grind them into a paste, add a little rose water. Use this mixture as a mask on your face. You can also buy ready-made almond paste in the health food store. You can also add a little yogurt to this mask.

Lemons

Rub your face twice a day with the wet side of half a lemon. This is one of the best natural remedies to remove skin discolorations and pigment spots. You can also add a little sugar to the lemons, but this is not necessary.

Papaya

Cover your skin with a thick layer of papaya pulp. Leave on for at least 15 minutes and then wash off with water. Repeat several times a week. The combination of milk with papaya gives even better results.

Potatoes

Cut a potato in half and rub the wet side into the skin. To be repeated daily.

Egg white

Cover the skin discolorations or pigment spots with egg white and leave on for at least twenty minutes (or preferably even overnight).

Bananas

Rub your skin with a banana peel and let the leftovers soak in for at least 15 minutes.

Carrots

Boil and crush some carrots and rub it on your face. Leave for at least twenty minutes.

Radishes, flour and buttermilk

Make a mixture of radish juice, white flour and buttermilk and apply it to the skin discolorations and pigment spots. Leave on for 20 minutes and wash off. Do this several times a week.

Flour, turmeric and lemon juice

Mix two teaspoons of flour with a pinch of turmeric (powder) and a few drops of lemon juice. Use this daily as a skin mask.

Lemon juice, milk powder, honey and almond oil

Add one part lemon juice, one part milk powder, one part honey and one part almond oil. Allowing this natural remedy to sit for twenty minutes helps to fade and remove skin discolouration and pigment spots.

Rennet and orange peel

Mix the dried orange peel powder with a little rennet. Use this as a mask to fade skin discolorations and pigment areas without lasering.

Apple cider vinegar

Mix 1 part apple cider vinegar with 8 parts water. Rinse your face with this twice a day.

Apple cider vinegar and strawberries

Crush some strawberries and add a few drops of apple cider vinegar. Apply this to the skin and preferably leave it on all night.

Apple cider vinegar, rose water and cucumber

Make a lotion from two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, one tablespoon of rose water and a little cucumber juice.

Oatmeal and honey

By peeling the skin with a mixture of oatmeal, warm water and honey, you can fade and remove skin discolorations and pigment spots in the short term. Leave on the skin for at least twenty minutes and then rinse with water.

Carrot juice with honey

Drink a glass of (fresh) carrot juice daily to which you have added a teaspoon of honey. Do this for one month. You will see that one month is enough to remove skin discolorations and pigment spots without laser treatment.
