Tips to relieve nausea and vomiting

Ginger tea

Do you feel like you have to vomit? Then slowly drink a cup of ginger tea to which you have added a teaspoon of honey (no sugar). You can also add some basil leaves to this tea.

Mint tea with cloves and nutmeg

Drink a cup of mint tea in which you have also steeped two cloves. Finish with a pinch of nutmeg. This is not only good to prevent nausea and vomiting, but also to get a fresh taste in the mouth after vomiting.

Warm water with honey

Drinking just a cup of warm water with honey is also an effective natural remedy for vomiting and nausea.

Place a few cloves in your mouth and suck until the nausea goes away.

No solid food

Try not to eat solid food for at least 24 hours, but drink as much as possible (water, soup, fruit juice, broth, smoothies). The only exception to this is dry bread which helps prevent and relieve nausea and vomiting after alcohol abuse.

Drinking cola is one of the best tips to relieve vomiting and nausea. Preferably drink the can of cola at room temperature.

If you are drunk and want to avoid nausea, it is a good idea to eat bread without toppings. Dry bread will absorb a lot of the alcohol in your digestive system.

Rice water

Boil a bag of rice and drink the leftover rice water. This remedy is especially good if you want to promote vomiting.

Oranges and salt

Eat oranges with a little black salt. This reduces the feeling of nausea. What also helps is simply smelling the peel of an orange.

Lemons and salt

Eating lemons with black salt is just as effective against nausea as the above tip. Can’t stand the sour taste of lemons? Then lick the salt off the lemon. This is enough to prevent vomiting.

Lime juice

Drinking lime juice is also an effective natural remedy against nausea and vomiting.

Swallow one teaspoon of onion juice every two hours. This natural remedy is very effective in quickly eliminating nausea and vomiting.
