Preventing premature ejaculation

Many men suffer from the problem of premature ejaculation. Not only can this cause embarrassing moments, it is also annoying for both the woman and the man. There are several causes of this problem and fortunately several techniques to prevent it.

Premature ejaculation

Premature ejaculation means that the man ejaculates before the woman has reached her climax. Usually there is a significant time difference of several minutes. This is one of the most common sexual complaints from men. The combination of sexual arousal, restlessness and overwhelming stimulation can lead to premature ejaculation. It occurs more often in young adults and men who are still sexually uncomfortable. Another group that can suffer from it are men who have not had sex for a long time. Premature ejaculation is rarely related to physical problems or diseases.

Causes

The cause of premature ejaculation will differ from man to man. For most causes there is a way to prevent it or at least make it happen less often. Premature ejaculation is not something to be ashamed of, but prevention is often a relief for both men and women. Causes are mainly psychological.

Fear of failure

Performance anxiety is probably the most common cause of premature ejaculation. Talking to your partner is actually the only thing that can help you with this. Talk about it, don’t feel ashamed, make yourself feel comfortable. If you can be relaxed, this problem often goes away.

Prevent

Fortunately, there are more than enough things you can try to prevent premature ejaculation. It is advisable to try different things, you will notice which things work for you.

Distraction

If you notice that your climax is approaching, seek distraction. Take a deep breath and focus your attention on something, preferably something boring or unexciting. Make sure you maintain your erection. What you should think about is very personal, try different things and focus your attention on that. Make sure that your partner does not notice that your attention is elsewhere than with her/him.

Pause

When you feel your climax approaching, withdraw your penis from your partner. Take a few breaths and make sure you calm down a bit. As soon as you notice that things are getting better again, you can continue. This way you can make sex last longer.

Squeeze

With this method, either the man himself or his partner squeezes the end of your penis for about ten to twenty seconds. Don’t squeeze so hard that it hurts. This can be repeated as often as desired to delay ejaculation. This can be combined well with the break, after all you have to come out of your partner if you want to be able to squeeze.

Extend foreplay

If you practice foreplay for longer, you can often delay ejaculation. If both you and your partner are in a very aroused state, it is better to cum at the same time. Try this in consultation with your partner.

Masturbate

If you masturbate more often, you get to know yourself better. You will also have less built-up sexual frustration, which means you will probably come less quickly when you have sex.
Most things take some time and getting used to, nothing will probably solve the entire problem in one go.
