Royal Jelly, a biological drug

Royal Jelly, or also called Royal Jelly, is a valuable biological product that can be used as an alternative medicine. This unique bee substance is naturally rich in vitamins and minerals. This natural product has been proven to have a beneficial effect on certain conditions.

Royal Jelly

Another name for Royal Jelly is Royal Jelly or Gelee Royale. It is a milky, white substance produced by young worker bees.

The Queen Bee

Royal Jelly is a milky extract secreted by the salivary glands of the young worker bees to feed the queen bee. Only the queen receives royal jelly for the rest of her life; the other bees only until they are adults. Royal jelly promotes the growth and development of a “queen” to such an extent that they can grow to be twice as large and 24 times older than a normal bee.
The queen bee maintains the bee colony with enormous effort thanks to the food “royal jelly” . Efforts that would prove fatal if she were not supplied with Royal Jelly for life. A normal worker bee is completely worn out after 8 weeks. The queen bee stays alive for 4 to 5 years and lays around 2,000,000 eggs during that period.

Obtaining Royal Jelly

There are special beekeepers for obtaining Royal Jelly. Not in the Netherlands, because there are not that many hours of sunshine here. Well in Thailand and Burma.
Production is minimal. Royal Jelly is extracted by hand from the hive. Per hive or hive with 40 – 100,000 worker bees only yields 1/8th teaspoon of Royal Jelly per day. It is therefore a very expensive product.
Royal Jelly is often available in tablet form at drugstores and health food stores
